Silicones, Inc. P-44 Translucent
P-44 is a translucent, medium viscosity, high tear strength, platinum-catalyzed, RTV-2 silicone rubber.
It is designed for casting parts where visual inspection is required. It is easy to mix and de-air, and will cure with virtually no shrinkage.
The speed at which the rubber hardens can be dramatically accelerated with heat or with Pt Accelerator at room temperature.
Addition-cure two-component silicone rubbers exhibit excellent chemical and heat resistance, but may show some inhibition sensitivity.
About Activators
P-44 Activator has two options:
P-44A (1) is used for production molds (It has release in it).
P-44A (2) is used for casting clear parts.
